Environmental Effects of Veterinary Medicines – Teaching Materials

Residues of veterinary medicinal products enter water and soil via manure and dung. Farmers and veterinarians can reduce this environmental impact through their practices. Under the auspices of Ecologic Institute, the project team designed four UBA teaching materials for agricultural vocational schools, veterinary trainings and lectures on livestock farming. The teaching materials include presentation slides, worksheets, information on lesson design and background information. They are freely available to teachers and learners on the German UBA Internet portal on "Veterinary Pharmaceuticals in the Environment".
